Recent rumors have claimed that the POCO India is gearing up to launch a new phone called the POCO M2 Pro. Today, POCO India released a tweet to confirm that the POCO M2 Pro will debut on July 7. The microsite for the smartphone is now active on the Flipkart retailer site.
The launch poster of the POCO M2 Pro has its silhouette. It has a square-shaped camera module on its back. The design of the device is quite like the Redmi Note 9 Pro that debuted in Europe in April. The company has not revealed any information on the specs of the device. Since a week is remaining for the launch of the POCO M2 Pro, the company is likely to some of its features in the coming days.
The POCO X2 is priced under Rs. 20,000 segment in India. Hence, it is likely that the POC M2 Pro could be a cheaper device priced less than Rs. 15,000. Previous reports have claimed that the POCO M2 Pro could be powered by the Snapdragon 720G SoC. The Redmi Note 9 Pro global edition is driven by the same SoC. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the POCO M2 Pro ends up as a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro from Europe.
