POCO X5 Series Launch Seems Imminent

Last week, a tipster leaked the live shots of the POCO X5 Pro 5G. Now, an official teaser of the POCO X5 series has surfaced on Flipkart, a retailer website in India. Hence, it appears that the company will soon confirm the launch date of the X5 series.

The letter “X” is mentioned five times in the poster above. Hence, it is quite evident that POCO has started teasing the fifth-generation X-series of smartphones in India. The brand is also expected to release in other markets, but there is no concrete information available on that yet.

Reports have claimed that POCO is also working on other products, such as the POCO Pods TWS earbuds and the POCO C55 entry-level phone. While the company may unveil the POCO Pods TWS alongside the POCO X5 series, the C55 may go official separately.

Rumors are rife that the POCO X5 5G will be quite similar to the Redmi Note 12 5G. While the Redmi phone has the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, the X5 is speculated to feature the Snapdragon 695, which promises slightly better performance.

The POCO X5 Pro 5G is likely to be a renamed version of the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition that was announced recently in China. The X5 and X5 Pro are said to be fitted with a 120Hz AMOLED FHD+ display and a 5,000mAh battery. The X5 and X5 Pro are expected to support 33W and 67W fast charging, respectively.

The X5 series may offer up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The standard model will have a 13-megapixel front camera and a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit. The Pro model is likely to feature a 16-megapixel selfie snapper and a 108-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system.
