The brand has revealed that the Poco X8 Pro series will feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Ultra and Dimensity 9500s chipsets. Poco has not confirmed the exact model names yet, but reports suggest the lineup could include the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max. The standard model is expected to run on the Dimensity 8500 Ultra, while the Pro Max may feature the Dimensity 9500s processor.

The Dimensity 9500s is believed to be a slightly toned-down version of the Dimensity 9500 chipset. This indicates that the Pro Max could deliver higher performance compared to the standard X8 Pro. The upcoming phones are also said to be related to the Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max that recently launched in China.

Leaks suggest the Poco X8 Pro may feature a 6.59-inch OLED display, whereas the Pro Max could offer a larger 6.83-inch panel. Both displays are expected to support 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The X8 Pro is tipped to include a 6,500mAh battery, while the Pro Max could feature a larger 7,550mAh unit. The rear camera setup may include a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilisation and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The front camera could differ between the two models, with the X8 Pro expected to feature a 20-megapixel sensor and the Pro Max possibly offering a 32-megapixel camera.
