Purported OPPO PEUM00 Foldable Smartphone Spotted at Geekbench

Several reports have claimed that OPPO may announce its first foldable smartphone this month. While the official moniker of the device is under the wraps, the rumor mill is calling it the OPPO Fold. Reports have revealed that the model number of the alleged OPPO Fold is PEUM00. This device was recently seen at the TENAA certification site and now it has appeared in the database of the Geekbench benchmarking site.

The Geekbench listing of the OPPO PEUM00 does not mention the exact name of the chipset that powers it. The chipset includes a prime CPU core working a 2.84GHz, three CPU cores clocking at 2.42GHz, and four CPU cores ticking at 1.80GHz. The ‘Lahaina’ codename and its configuration are a good hint it has the Snapdragon 888 SoC onboard. Other reports have also claimed that it may come with the SD888 chip.

The PEUM00’s Geekbench listing shows that it is equipped with 12 GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 12 OS, which seems to be overlaid with the ColorOS 12. On Geekbench 5, it scored 925 and 3364 points in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, respectively.

OPPO Fold Specifications (Rumored)

It is speculated that the OPPO Fold will come with an inward folding design. Its cover display will support a 60Hz refresh rate, while the inner 8-inch OLED LTPO panel will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will be equipped with a front camera of 32-megapixel.

The OPPO Fold’s rear camera unit may comprise a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera, a 16-megapixel Sony IMX481 lens, and a 13-megapixel Samsung S5K3M5 snapper. It could be powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.
