Razer that is better known for manufacturing gaming laptops launched the Razer Phone smartphone in November 2017. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018, the company had showcased the Project Linda laptop dock for Razer Phone. A French publication claims that the Razer Phone 2 would be unveiled to the world in September along with the Project Linda laptop dock.
The Project Linda is supposed to be powered by the Razer Phone’s Snapdragon 835 chipset and 8 GB RAM by placing it in a dedicated slot. Once the Razer Phone is placed on the laptop dock, it can be also used a touchpad and a secondary display. As far as the specs of the Project Linda are concerned, it features a 13.3-inch display, an onboard storage of 200 GB. It is also equipped with USB-A, USB-C and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Citing internal source, the publication states that the Razer Phone 2 that is will be debuting in September probably through the IFA 2018 event will also bring along Project Linda. However, there is no information available on the specs of the Razer Phone 2. The arrival of the Project Linda has been also hinted by Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan when he had replied to Marques Brownlee on Twitter.
