Realme India has released an X post to tease the design of the Realme 12 Pro series of smartphones. The teaser confirms that the Realme 12 Pro lineup will launch in January in the country. At the same time, a poster is being circulated on social media platforms, which gives a good look at the rear design of the 12 Pro+. It seems that the brand may have teamed up with the popular watch brand Rolex to design the camera module of the Realme 12 Pro series.
The above teaser gives a glimpse of the round camera module that will be available on the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro. The Realme GT 5 Pro, which debuted in December 2023, is the company’s first smartphone to feature a periscope telephoto camera. The 12 Pro+ will be the company’s first non-flagship to sport a periscope telephoto unit.
A Weibo post released by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station hints that Realme may have collaborated with Rolex for the design of the camera island of the Realme 12 Pro series. The image below, which is in line with the recently seen TENAA images, showcases the design of the 12 Pro+. However, the authenticity of the image could not be confirmed at the time of writing this post.
As per reports, the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ will have a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The 12 Pro may feature a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, whereas the 12 Pro+ will have a 64-megapixel periscope camera with 3x optical zoom.
For selfies, the 12 Pro may feature a 16-megapixel front camera, whereas the 12 Pro+ may come equipped with a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Both phones are most likely powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and 7s Gen 2 chipsets, respectively. Both phones are also expected to differ in fast charging capabilities. The Realme 12 Pro series may arrive with common specs, such as a 6.7-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz display, up to 16 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB of storage, and Realme UI 5-based Android 14.
