Realme is reportedly working on the Realme GT 6 and Realme 13 Pro series of smartphones for the Chinese market. Rumor has it that the GT 6 will make its debut in July, while the 13 Pro series might follow a bit later. A new leak by tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that the Realme 13 Pro+ will have a new periscope telephoto camera.
To recall, Realme unveiled the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipsets at the beginning of this year. The rear camera setup of the 12 Pro features a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 telephoto camera, whereas the 12 Pro+ has a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera.
DCS reports that the Realme 13 Pro series will feature a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The 13 Pro series will be the first mid-range phone to feature it, despite its previous use on a flagship phone. The IMX882 lens is likely to replace the OV64B lens on the upcoming Realme 13 Pro+. It remains to be seen whether the brand continues to offer a telephoto camera or upgrades to a periscope telephoto camera on the standard model.
As per previous reports, the Realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ will be available in the same configurations, such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage. The standard model will come in three shades: Monet Gold, Monet Purple, and Sky Green, while the Pro+ will be available in Monet Gold and Emerald Green. The other details of the Realme 13 Pro series are yet to be revealed.
