Earlier this year, Realme started teasing the arrival of the Realme 14 Pro series of smartphones. The brand has already confirmed that it will have a Snapdragon 7-series chipset and a periscope telephoto camera. The brand is currently concentrating on the launch of the Realme 14x 5G, an entry-level 5G phone, set to debut in India on Dec. 18. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station, has revealed some details about the periscope camera, display, and launch timeframe of what appears to be the Realme 14 Pro+.
Realme 14 Pro+ key details leaked
While the tipster has not mentioned the name of the device in the above leak, the inclusion of a cat emoji is a hint that he is talking about an upcoming Realme phone. The inclusion of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset is a positive hint that the leak pertains to the Realme 14 Pro+.
According to the leak, the Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera, offering 3x optical zoom, will equip the Realme 14 Pro+. It will have a four-curved display, maintaining depth consistency. DCS asserts that they will announce the phone’s launch before the end of this year. In all likelihood, the 14 Pro series could be debuting first in China before arriving in the global market.
For those who don’t know, the Realme 13 Pro+ is equipped with a Sony LYT-600 50-megapixel periscope camera with 3x optical zoom support. It is nothing but a rebranded version of the existing IMX882 camera sensor. Therefore, it seems that the Realme 14 Pro+ is likely to inherit the 13 Pro+ periscope camera sensor.
At present, there is no information about the Realme 14 Pro phone, which is expected to go official alongside the 14 Pro+. Hopefully, newer reports will shed more details about both smartphones.
