A new Realme device known as the Realme 7 5G has been certified by the Thai NBTC authority. This device however, shares the same model number RMX2111 as the Realme V5 which was launched in China back in August this year. As such, speculations are rife that the Realme 7 5G could arrives as a rebranded Realme V5 in the global market.
For those who’d missed out, the Realme V5 features a 6.5-inches FHD+ LCD display that encompasses a smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate. Its front panel utilizes the usual hole punch design to accommodate its 16 megapixels selfie camera.
On the flip side, there will be a quad camera system that comprises of a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
The Realme V5 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC which allows the device to support 5G connectivity for both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes. It will be paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department.
At the helm, the device is fitted with a massive 5,000mAh battery which has 30W fast-charging support via a USB Type-C port, capable of delivering a full charge within 65 minutes. As usual, it will run on the custom Realme UI (based on Android 10 OS), and will be preserving a 3.5mm headphone jack.
In the Chinese market, the device carries an attractive price tag of 1,499 Yuan (US$215) and 1,899 Yuan (US$272) for its 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB models respectively.
