As scheduled, Realme has officially announced the new Realme 8 5G smartphone in the Thai market. This device is in fact the first 5G smartphone within the newly unveiled Realme 8 series lineup.
For starter, the Realme 8 5G builds around a 6.5” LCD display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution topped with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The phone features the usual hole-punch design for its front display to accommodate its 16 megapixels selfie camera.
Around the back of the device, there’s a squarish camera module that houses a triple-camera setup comprising of a 48 megapixels main camera along with a pair of 2 megapixels B&W sensors and macro camera.
Under the hood. the Realme 8 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. Its storage capacity as usual, can be further expanded by up to 1TB via a microSD card.
To keep its light on, the phone draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Other than that, it also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For those who’re interested, the Realme 8 5G is available in two different colorways including Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue. In the Thai market, the phone is priced at 9,999 Baht (US$320) for its 8GB+128GB model.
