Over the weekend, Realme has confirmed that the company will be launching the new Realme 8 5G smartphone in the Thai market on April 21st next week.
Ahead of its official launch, Realme has published several teasers of the device which revealed that the device will share a similar design as the Realme V13 smartphone which was launched in the Chinese market last month.
In fact, their similarities also extends to their underlying Dimensity 700 chipset which hints that the Realme 8 5G could well be a rebranded model of the Realme V13 smartphone in the global market.
As a quick recap, the Realme V13 comes along with a 6.5” FHD+ LCD display which offers a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It also has an 8 megapixels selfie camera and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
For photography, three cameras at the back include a 48 megapixels primary shooter, 2 megapixels B&W sensor, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera.
Under the hood, the Realme V13 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
It draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support and runs on the latest Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 OS.
