Realme has officially confirmed that the company will be unveiling the brand new Realme 8i and Realme 8s 5G smartphones on September 9th next week. The launch will take place in the Indian market, though we do expect these devices to make their way to other Asian markets as well.
Based on what we’d learned so far, the Realme 8i will be the first smartphone in the world to be powered by the new MediaTek Helio G96 chipset, while the Realme 8s 5G is the first with the latest Dimensity 810 silicon.
The Realme 8i shapes up to be a decent upgrade over the current Realme 8, offering a 6.59” FHD+ LCD display, 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP triple-camera setup, 16MP selfie camera, as well as a respectable 5,000mAh battery with fast-charging support.
As for the Realme 8s 5G, the phone is tipped to feature a 6.5” FHD+ LCD display, 90Hz refresh rate, 64MP triple-cam setup, 16MP front-facing camera, 5,000mAh battery, as well as 33W fast-charging support.
While not officially confirmed, there’s a possibility that the company could also be announcing the much anticipated Realme Pad during the same event as well.
