Following the launch of the Realme 8 series smartphones earlier this year, Realme is now gearing up the launch of it’s next-generation’s Realme 9 series devices which had been delayed to the beginning of 2022.
Currently, the existing Realme 8 series devices consist of the likes of Realme 8, Realme 8 5G, Realme 8 Pro, Realme 8s 5G, as well as Realme 8i. However, past reports had claimed that the company will be launching a new higher-end model known as the Realme 9 Pro+ from the upcoming Realme 9 series lineup.
Now, courtesy of IMEI’s database, we now have official confirmation that the Realme 9 Pro+ indeed exist and could be launched along with some of the Realme 9 series devices next year.
Although information pertaining to this device remains scarce at the moment, but rumors seemed to suggest that the Realme 9 Pro+ could be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset along with other attractive specs like a 120Hz AMOLED display.
If the preliminary specs are accurate, then we can expect the Realme 9 Pro+ to provide tough competition for some other upcoming models from POCO’s X series as well as iQOO’s Neo series lineup.
