A recent leak had revealed that Realme could be launching the Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro+ devices on February 15th this month. Ahead of it’s launch, much information pertaining to these devices had already been revealed through a series of leaks over the past couple of weeks.
Now, the company itself has also confirmed the official design of the upcoming Realme 9 Pro series smartphones in a video teaser which was published on it’s Twitter handle earlier today.
The design revealed in the new teaser corroborates what we’d seen from recent leaks, sporting a square-shaped camera bump on the rear side of the phone which appears to house a triple-camera system.
Also, both devices will be coming with an iridescent (color-shofting) rear design which was claimed to be inspired by the color of sunrise according to the company.
Realme 9 Pro & 9 Pro+ Specifications
Despite the similarities in their appearance, both devices actually differ in quite a huge extend when it comes to their underlying specs. Starting with the front, the more affordable Realme 9 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.59” IPS LCD display with FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro+ model on the other hand, switches over to a sAMOLED display with a similar resolution, but a slower refresh rate of 90Hz.
On the imaging front, the Realme 9 Pro seems to have a slight edge over the supposed higher-end Pro+ model. That’s because the Realme 9 Pro reportedly features a 64 megapixels main camera, while the Pro+ model settles with a 50 megapixels shooter instead.
As for the other two cameras, both devices share the same 8MP ultra-wide unit and a 2MP auxiliary sensor. In fact, their similarities here extends to the 16 megapixels front-facing camera as well.
Under the hood, the Realme 9 Pro and Pro+ are expected to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 and Dimensity 920 chipset respectively. While the Realme 9 Pro features a large 5,000mAh battery, the Pro+ model is contented with a slightly smaller 4,500mAh battery. Sad to say, there’s no mention on the charging speed of the duo.
