After launching the Realme 9i smartphone in the Vietnamese market last week, Realme has now expanded the availability of the phone to the Indian market where the device is expected to provide tough competition against some of the upcoming models from Redmi and Vivo.
Right off the bat, the Realme 9i features a 6.6” IPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution and up to 90Hz refresh rate. For selfie and video calls, it also has a 16 megapixels front-facing camera housed with a tiny pinhole cutout on the upper-left corner of the screen.
The back of the phone is available in two colorways namely Black and Blue. It sports a rectangular camera bump which features a total of three cameras including a 50 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels B/W sensor.
Under the hood, the Realme 9i is powered by a fairly recent Snapdragon 680 chipset which will be paired with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB built-in storage which supports storage expansion via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. Other than that, it also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and Realme UI 2.0 (based on Android 11) out of the box.
For those who’re interested, the Realme 9i is priced at INR13,999 (US$188) and INR15,999 (US$215) respectively for it’s 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB models. Following the launch of Realme 9i, the company is now reportedly working on the Realme 9 and 9 Pro which coild break cover as soon as February next month.
