After launching the Realme C25Y smartphone back in September last year, Realme has now announced a new model known as the Realme C25_Y which shares largely identical specs as the former, except it comes with a slightly upgraded chipset.
For starter, the Realme C25_Y features a 6.5” IPS LCD display which offers a HD+ screen resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. Other than that, there’s also an 8 megapixels front-facing camera for handling selfie and video calls.
On the rear side, the phone has a square-shaped camera module which is home to a triple-cam setup comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera and a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.
Unlike the Realme C25_Y which was powered by an octa-core UNISOC T610 chipset, the new model is equipped with a slightly more powered UNISOC T618 chipset instead. This will be paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the Realme C25_Y is backed by a 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-charging. Software-wise, it’ll be shipped with Android 11 OS right off the box.
For those who’re interested, the Realme C25_Y is available in both Glacier Blue and Metal Gray colorways, and is priced at INR10,999 (US$148) in the Indian market.
