According to a new report from GSMArena, we will soon be having the first Android smartphone with magnetic charging support. Impressively, this device will coming from a relatively young smartphone brand Realme, and is expected to debut under the Realme Flash moniker.
Along with this device, the company is also said to be launching a new wireless magnetic charger dubbed as Realme MagDart. Just like how Apple’s MagSafe technology works with the iPhone 12 models, the upcoming Realme MagDart charges a phone by clipping onto the back of the device.
At the moment, there isn’t any information on the actual charging speed of the Realme MagDart charger. However, the report did revealed that the charging speed will sit above 15W which is pretty decent for a technology that’s still in it’s infancy.
Coming back to the Realme Flash smartphone, this device is expected to be the company’s next flagship model which will feature a Snapdragon 888 mobile platform along with 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department. On the software-side, it’ll be shipped with Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 out of the box.
Sad to say, we still doesn’t have any confirmation on the official launch date of the Realme Flash and Realme MagDart. However, it’s likely to take place somewhere during August next month.
