Realme GT 2 series launch date has been confirmed. Earlier this week, the Chinese manufacturer held a special event to confirm the innovative technologies that will be made available on the GT 2 Pro. Today, the company took to Weibo and Twitter to confirm that it will be unveiling the Realme GT 2 series of smartphones at 19:30 PM (local time) on Jan. 4 in the home market.
For those who may not know, Motorola had already announced dual flagships such as Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 888 powered Moto Edge X30 and S30 smartphones earlier this month. On Dec. 28, Xiaomi will be unveiling as many as three flagship phones such as Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12 Pro. Realme is also expected to unveil two flagship phones namely, Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro on Jan. 4.
The Realme GT 2 is likely to feature the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform, while the GT 2 Pro will be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The latter will be equipped with an advanced antenna system for better connectivity, a 150-degree ultrawide camera, as well as an eco-friendly design.
Reports have revealed that the Realme GT 2 may come with specs like a 6.62-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, a 16-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging. On the other side, the Realme GT 2 Pro is expected to come with a 6.67-inch QHD+ 120Hz display, a 32-megapixel selfie camera, 50-megapixel triple cameras, and 65W fast charging.
The GT 2 series of smartphones will ship with Android 12, which will be overlaid with Realme UI 3.0. At present, there is no information available on the pricing of these devices.
