Today, iQOO will unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered iQOO 12 and 12 Pro flagship phones in the Chinese market. The OnePlus 12 and Realme GT 5 Pro are the next set of SD8G3 phones to hit the Chinese market. The Realme device has already appeared in TENAA’s database with all its major specifications. A new leak courtesy of reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed that the upcoming Realme and OnePlus flagship phones will have the same primary camera.
In a recent announcement, OnePlus officially confirmed that its next flagship phone will feature the LYT-T808, a premium image sensor developed in collaboration with Sony. It features a 1/1.43-inch camera sensor and is designed as a double-layer transistor sensor. The brand today confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will also feature a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
The new Weibo post by DCS reveals that the Realme GT 5 Pro will also feature the same LYT-T808 primary camera. However, the remaining camera sensors will be different on both smartphones.
According to the leaker, the OnePlus 12’s rear camera setup also includes an IMX581 ultra-wide lens and an OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera that supports 3x optical zoom. On the other hand, the GT 5 Pro’s rear camera unit will comprise an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV08D10 ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 periscope telephoto camera with 2.7x optical zoom.
The OP12 and GT 5 Pro are also expected to feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. However, there is no information on the camera sensor that will be present in the front cameras of both smartphones. While the OnePlus flagship is expected to debut this month in China, the GT 5 Pro may break cover in December.
