Realme GT 5’s 30,000 units sold in the first limited 2-hour sale

Earlier today, Realme unveiled the Realme GT 5 smartphone in China. It is the first phone from the company to use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The highest configuration of the device offers 24GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, and 240W fast charging. The pre-sale of the phone began at 6:30pm (local time) in China. However, for early adopters, the company made it available for purchase for a limited window of 2 hours starting at 4pm (local time). Here is how many units the company sold in the first sale of the Realme GT 5.

According to the company, it sold 30,000 units of the Realme GT 5 in its first sale, which lasted only for 2 hours. For those who don’t know, the Realme GT 5 150W comes in two options, such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage for 2,999 Yuan ($410) and 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage for 3,299 Yuan ($450). On the other hand, the Realme GT 5 240W with 24 GB RAM and 1 TB storage is priced at 3,799 Yuan ($520). It comes in white and green colors.

The Realme GT 5 has a 6.74-inch OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

As mentioned above, there are two variants of the Realme GT 5. The model packing a 4,600mAh battery supports 240W fast charging, whereas the variant with a 5,240mAh battery offers 150W rapid charging. The phone comes preloaded with Android 13 and Realme UI 4.0.

The Realme GT 5 has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, the device is equipped with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
