Realme recently unveiled the Realme GT 7 Pro and GT 7 Pro Racing Edition phones in China. While the Pro model has already launched in the global market, there is no clarity on whether the Racing Edition will be released in markets outside of China. Before the launch of the Racing Edition, the rumour mill speculated that this device would be called the Realme GT 7. Now, a new development suggests that Realme may not have any plans to launch a phone named Realme GT 7. Instead, it could be working on the Realme GT 8.
Realme GT 8 in works
According to tipster Smart Pikachu, Realme is prepping to launch a flagship phone with a 2K resolution display. He added that the phone will launch by the end of this year. The hashtag used by the leaker suggests that this phone will be dubbed the Realme GT 8 when it hits the Chinese market later this year.
Unfortunately, the leaker did not reveal anything else about the Realme GT 8. However, it is likely that it could be an early adopter of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, which is expected to launch in October of this year.
In related news, Realme is gearing up to launch multiple phones in the global market as well as in China. Tomorrow, the brand will take off the covers from the Realme P3 Pro and the Realme P3x 5G in India. The P3x will debut as the world’s first phone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chip.
Next, the Chinese wing of the brand is gearing up to launch the Realme Neo 7 SE equipped with the Dimensity 8400-Max chip later this month in China. It is speculated that the brand will also announce the Realme Neo 7x 5G as the first-ever phone powered by the all-new Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip. It is speculated that the Neo 7x may get rebranded as the Realme 14 5G in markets outside of China.
