Realme GT Master Edition Series debuts with attractive design & specs

Realme has officially unwrapped the brand new Realme GT Master Edition and Realme GT Explorer Master Edition smartphones during an official launch event held in China today. These devices, as we know, will be heading to the global market on a slightly later date. Without further ado, let’s check out what the new GT Master Edition series phones have in store for us!

Realme GT Explorer Master Edition

Starting with the higher-end model, we have the Realme GT Explorer Master Edition smartphone which features a 6.5” Super AMOLED curve display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, in-display fingerprint scanner, as well as a 32 megapixels front facing camera housed with a hole-punch cutout on the upper left corner of the screen.

On the flipside, the Realme GT Explorer Master Edition sports a rectangular camera island which is home to a triple-cam setup comprising of a 50 megapixels main camera (w/ OIS), 16 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera.

Under the hood, the Realme GT Explorer Master Edition is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 mobile platform which will be paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage in the memory department. To ensure the phone remains cool during intensive gaming, the phone is also backed by a VC liquid cooling system as well.

To keep it’s lights on, the phone draws power from a respectable 4,500mAh battery which carries support for 65W fast-charging. In terms of pricing, the Realme GT Explorer Master Edition is priced at 2,799 Yuan (US$432) and 3,099 Yuan (US$479) respectively for it’s 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB variants.

Coming to the more affordable Realme GT Master Edition, the phone gets the same 6.5” Super AMOLED display upfront with FHD+ screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, in-display fingerprint scanner, as well as a 32 megapixels front facing camera. It’s worth noting however, that the vanilla model has a flat display instead of a curve one.

At the back of the phone, it comes with a triple-cam setup which has some distinctive differences from the Explorer Edition model. The three cameras on the rear side includes a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.

At the helm, the Realme GT Master Edition is powered by a slightly toned-down Snapdragon 778G chipset alongside 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.

Unlike the Explorer Edition model, the Realme GT Master Edition smartphone is backed by comparatively smaller 4,300mAh battery which retains the 65W fast-charging support. In the Chinese market, the Realme GT Master Edition will set you back by 2,399 Yuan (US$371) and 2,599 Yuan (US$402) respectively for it’s 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants.
