Although we are still days away from the Realme GT Neo’s official launch event on March 31st, but the device had already garnered more than two million registrations collectively across all major ecommerce platforms in the Chinese market. If this number doesn’t sounds impressive enough, it haven’t even include the number of registrations on other major ecommerce platform like Tmall and Suning.
As we all know, the upcoming Realme GT Neo is slightly different from the newly announced Realme GT in several aspects. Unlike the latter that’s powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 888 chipset, the Realme GT Neo is likely to be the first smartphone in the world which will be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset.
Just yesterday, Realme had also published a promo poster which revealed that the Realme GT Neo will be arriving a color-shifting back panel with some form of “split-design” similar to what we saw on the Realme 8. Other than that, it retains the same rectangular-shaped camera island as the Realme GT.
The Realme GT Neo is expected to provide a tough completion towards some of the recently announced Snapdragon 870-powered smartphones with rumors claiming that the device could be priced below the 2,000 Yaun (US$306).
Aside from the differences in design and its underlying chipset, the rest of its specs should be largely similar as the Realme GT. As such, we can expect to see familiar specs like 6.43” Super AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, 64MP triple-camera setup, 4,500mAh battery, as well as 65W SuperDart charging support.
