Realme GT series flagship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in works

Realme is expected to soon launch the Realme GT Neo 6 series of smartphones in China. A recent report revealed the design of the smartphone and claimed that it would debut soon. In all likelihood, it will be announced in August of this year. A new leak courtesy of tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that the brand could be working on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered flagship phone.

Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chip in November last year. Except for Realme, almost all the major smartphone brands in China have launched SD8G2-powered smartphones. It is being said that one of the Realme GT Neo 6 variants will come equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The new leak suggests that the next Realme flagship will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

According to the tipster, the next Realme flagship phone featuring the SD8G3 chip will pack good specifications. He also revealed that the smartphone will be equipped with a periscope zoom camera. Unfortunately, he did not share any information on the other specs or launch timeframe of the device.

In all likelihood, it will be a Realme GT-series flagship phone, which may debut a couple of months after the Realme GT Neo 6 series. Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip in October of this year. It is likely that the Xiaomi 14 series, the Vivo 100 Pro+, the OnePlus 12, and the iQOO 12 series will come equipped with the new chip.

The OPPO Find X7 Pro, which is expected to launch in Q1 2023, will also feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Hence, there is a possibility that Realmeā€™s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 may also break cover in Q1 2023.
