Realme unveiled the Realme Neo 7 equipped with the Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset in December 2024 in China. It appears that the brand is now gearing up to launch the Neo 8 in the country. A new leak about the device reveals that the upcoming model will have a new Snapdragon 8-series chip instead of a Dimensity SoC.
Realme Neo 8 specifications tipped

As per the leak, the Realme Neo 8 will arrive with a 6.78-inch OLED screen that offers a 1.5K resolution and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. For photography, it is said to be equipped with a 50-megapixel camera backed by a big sensor.
The leak also states that the device will be powered by a significantly large silicon-carbon battery of around 8,000mAh capacity. Finally, the device also features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, which is expected to debut later this month.
While the tipster has not mentioned the name of the device in the leak, the emoji used in the post hints that he could be talking about an upcoming Realme phone. Considering that the brand has already launched two GT-branded flagship phones in China, it appears that the tipster could be talking about a Neo-series flagship, probably, the Neo 8.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 will be first seen on the OnePlus Ace 6T, which may debut by the end of this month in China. The said chipset is also expected to power upcoming phones such as the Moto X70 Ultra / Edge 70 Ultra, Vivo S50 Pro Mini, Oppo K15 Turbo Pro, and a mysterious Meizu phone.
