Recent reports have revealed that Realme is gearing up to launch a Neo-branded phone in China. A new leak, courtesy of a reliable tipster, Digital Chat Station, has revealed the launch timeframe of the device. Here’s a look at what’s known about the device.
Realme Neo 8 launch timeframe (rumored)

According to the tipster, the Realme Neo 8, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, will be announced in January 2026. The leak has no other information about the device’s other specifications.
His previous leaks have revealed that the Realme Neo 8 will arrive with a flat Samsung AMOLED screen offering a 1.5K resolution. It is said to feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor and is expected to ship with Android 16 with a layer of ColorOS 16 on top.
The Realme Neo 8 is rumored to house a single-cell battery of around 8,000mAh capacity. The handset is also tipped to feature a metal frame and a glass back. It is also expected to arrive with an IP68/69-rated dust and water-resistant body.
With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 onboard, the device is expected to rival the likes of the OnePlus Ace 6T and some upcoming phones, such as the Moto X70 Ultra and the iQOO Z11 Turbo. The Motorola and iQOO offering are also expected to debut in the beginning months of 2026 in China.
The Realme Neo 8 series is also expected to include multiple models, such as the Neo 8 Turbo, the Dimensity 8500-powered Neo 8 SE, and the Neo 8x. These devices are expected to launch in the first half of the coming year.
