Realme entered the tablet market last year by announcing the Realme Pad. It was a 4G device powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. The company has recently launched the Realme Pad Mini with Unisoc chip in some markets this year. Now it appears that the Realme Pad 5G tablet could be coming soon. Recently, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth revealed that the company is working on a 5G-ready tablet and will be soon sharing more details on it. Today, well-known tipster, Digital Chat Station shared the key specifications of the Realme Pad 5G.
if the tipster is to be believed, there could be two chipset variants of the Realme Pad 5G. The first one may arrive with the Snapdragon 870, whereas there could be a variant featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
The tipster said that there are two prototypes of the Realme Pad 5G. The Snapdragon 870 chipset variant will be equipped with an LCD panel that offers a 2.5K resolution. It will be powered by an 8,360mAh battery. The leak also mentions that the tablet will have support for a stylus, which could be called the Realme Pad Pen.
The other prototype of the Realme Pad 5G could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+. it appears that this variant could be named as the Realme Pad 5G Master Explorer Edtion. As it is known, the SD8G1+ chip has not been launched yet. Digital Chat Station has recently claimed that the SD8G1+, which was expected to launch by early May, has been delayed. He is of the view that COVID-19 lockdowns in China have pushed back the launch of the SD8G1+ to the latter half of 2022. Hopefully, Realme will reveal more details about the Realme Pad 5G in the coming days.
