As scheduled, Realme has officially announced a trio of 5G smartphones from the new Realme Q2 series which include the likes of the Realme Q2i, Realme Q2, as well as Realme Q2 Pro.
These devices are expected to go head on with the upcoming Redmi Note 10 series rumored to be launched within the next couple of weeks.
Realme Q2 Pro
The Realme Q2 Pro, as its name suggests, will be the highest-end model among the trio. It features a 6.43-inches FHD+ Super AMOLED display that offers 600 nits maximum brightness as well as an impressive 180Hz touch sampling rate. On top of that, it also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.
Under the hood, the Realme Q2 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset capable of supporting both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. It will be assisted by 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.
For photography, the Realme Q2 Pro has a quad-camera system at the back consisting of a 48 megapixels primary shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro cameras, as well as a 2 megapixels B/W portrait lens. This will be rounded up by a 16 megapixels selfie camera at the front.
To keep its lights on, the device draws power from a 4,300mAh battery that comes with 65W flash charging support. In the Chinese market, the Realme Q2 Pro will be priced at 1,799 Yuan (US$266) and 1,999 Yuan (US$296) respectively for its 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB models.
Realme Q2
Moving on, we have the Realme Q2 that sits between the Realme Q2i and Q2 Pro in terms of specs. Unlike the Realme Q2 Pro that comes with a Super AMOLED display, the Realme Q2 opted for a 6.5-inches LCD display instead. However, its screen refresh rate has been bumped up from 60Hz to 120Hz.
At the helm, the Realme Q2 will be powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset which will be assisted by up to 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.
In the camera department, the Realme Q2 will be arriving with a watered-down triple-camera system lead by a 48 megapixels primary shooter alongside an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens and 2 megapixels macro camera. On top of that, there will be a 16 megapixels selfie camera at the front as well.
At the heart of the device, there will be a massive 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast-charging support. In terms of pricing, the Realme Q2 will be retailing at 1,299 Yuan (US$192) and 1,399 Yuan (US$207) respectively for its 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB models.
Realme Q2i
Last but not the least, the Realme Q2i is the most affordable model among the three. The device is built around a 6.5-inches HD+ LCD display that offers a 20:9 tall aspect ratio. Its dewdrop-notch at the front is home to an 8 megapixels selfie camera.
Unlike the Realme Q2 and Q2 Pro, the Realme Q2i employs a toned-down MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset which will be paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.
At the back, it boasts a squarish camera housing that play host to a triple-camera setup comprising of a 13 megapixels primary shooter, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels portrait lens. Other than that, there’ll also be a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.
The Realme Q2i will draw power from a huge 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. For those who’re interested, it will be priced at 1,199 Yuan (US$178) for its sole 4GB+128GB model.
