Two upcoming phones with model numbers RMX2117 and RMX2173 have received approval from China’s TENAA telecom regulatory body. The RMX2117 is believed to debut as a Q-series smartphone. The RMX2173 appears to be a phone from the existing Realme X7 series of smartphones that debuted earlier this month in China.

The model number of the Realme RMX2176. Since the Realme RMX2173 has a similar model number, it appears to be a variant of the Realme X7 smartphone. In fact, the Realme RMX2173 borrows most of its specs from the Realme X7 but has downgraded cameras. Hence, it appears that he Realme RMX2173 may debut as Realme X7 Youth or Realme X7 Lite.
The Realme RMX2173 measures 160.9 x 74.4 x 8.1mm and it weighs 175 grams. The phone is likely to arrive in Gray / Symphony color in China. It is fitted with a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with punch-hole design. The 20:9 aspect ratio screen produces a full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The phone is backed a dual-cell battery. However, the listing currently mentions the capacity of one of its batteries as 2,100mAh.
Like the Realme RMX2117, the Realme X7 Youth is also equipped with 2.4GHz octa-core processor and it carries support for 5G connectivity. The handset may come in 6 GB and 8 GB RAM options and 128 GB and 256 GB storage choices in China. It lacks support for microSD card slot.
The alleged Realme X7 Lite smartphone has an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It has a front camera of 16-megapixel and its rear is decked with a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad camera system. In comparison, the Realme X7 has a 32-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel quad camera setup on its rear. The rest of the specs of the Realme X7 Lite that are mentioned at TENAA are an exact match with Realme X7.
