Realme V15 officially launched with Dimensity 800U & 50W Fast-charging

After weeks of hiatus, Realme is back to the spotlight with the launch of the Realme V15 smartphone in the Chinese market today. This will be the company’s third V-series smartphones after the launch of the Realme V3 and V5 devices last year.

For starter, the Realme V15 sports a 6.4-inches AMOLED display that brings along a FHD+ screen resolution as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner. Just like most other Realme’s smartphones, the front display comes with the usual hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner that houses a 16 megapixels selfie camera.

Flipping the device over, we’ll be greeted by a rectangular camera island which houses a triple-camera setup alongside a LED flash. What actually sets the Realme V15 apart from other Realme devices is actually the protruding lenses which kind of remind us of the OPPO Reno4 Pro (Review).

Coming back to the specifics, the three cameras at the back is a pretty standard configuration consisting of a 64 megapixels primary shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera.

Under the hood, the Realme V15 is powered by an octa-core mediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset which allows the device to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. In the memory department, the device features up to 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

Moving on, the Realme V15 is helmed by a respectable 4,310mAh battery that comes with support for 50W fast-charging that’s capable of charging the device from 0 to 50% within 18 minutes. On the software-side, the device will be loaded with the custom Realme UI on Android 10 OS.

In terms of colors, the Realme V15 is offered in three different paintjobs including the signature Koi colorway which resembles the colors we usually see on a Koi fish, as well as Silver and Blue.

In the Chinese market, the device is priced at 1,499 Yuan (US$232) and 1,999 Yuan (US$310) respectively for its 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB models.
