Yesterday, Realme had revealed through its Weibo account that it will be announcing a new 5G device today. While many speculated that the company will be revealing the launch date of Realme X50 Youth Edition, the company surprised its fans by directly launching the said phone as Realme X50m 5G. It is the Realme RMX2142 phone that was recently approved by the TENAA authority of China.
Realme X50m 5G Specifications and Features
The Realme X50m borrows most of its specs from the Realme X50 5Gl phone that went official in January in China. The X50m mainly differs from the X50 phone in cameras. The dimensions of the glass bodied Realme X50m are 163.8 x 75.8 x 8.9mm and it weighs 194 grams. It has a 6.57-inch dual punch-hole display that supports 120Hz refresh rate and full HD+ resolution. The phone offers a tall aspect ratio of 20:9 and it delivers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.4 percent.
The Realme xX50m phone is powered by Snapdragon 765G chipset and it carries support for dual-mode 5G connectivity. It is equipped with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.1 storage. The Android 10 OS customized with Realme UI comes preloaded on the Realme X50m. The phone comes with support for 30W Dart charging technology for its 4,200mAh battery. The company claims that the phone can gain 70 percent battery juice by charging it for half hour.

The Realme X50m 5G’s quad camera setup is fitted with a 48-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 4cm macro lens of 2-megapixel and a portrait lens of 2-megapixel. The pill-shaped punch-hole on the screen houses a 16-megapixel primary selfie camera that is accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth assist lens. The handset has a side-facing fingerprint reader.
The Realme X50m has 1216 ultra-linear speaker and carries support for Dolby panoramic sound effects and Hi-Res audio. The usual connectivity features like dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and USB-C are available on the phone. It does not feature a 3.5mm headphone slot.
Realme X50 5G Price and Release Date
The Realme X50m 5G is listed for pre-orders on the official online store of the company. Its 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage has arrived in China with a pricing of 1,999 Yuan ($282). The higher 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage edition of the Realme X50m will be selling with a price tag of 2,299 Yuan ($324). Starry Blue and Galaxy White are the two color variants of the phone. The first sale of the smartphone will be held on April 29 at 10 AM in China.
