Realme’s Visual Identity Resonates with Pantone’s Colour of Year 2021

December 10th saw Pantone, the professional colour institute, announce “Ultimate  Gray” and “Illuminating” as the colours of the year 2021, resonating with realme’s  signature visual identity – “realme gray” and “realme yellow”.

2019 saw the brand’s “realme Design Studio” and top design studio Pentagram collaborating, with Eddie Opara, internationally renowned Pentagram partner and chief designer creating the brand’s young, trendy, cutting-edge image.

With this comprehensive upgrade of its visual system, realme looks to create a brand image that better resonates with its global young audience, expressing their attitude of being unique, trendsetting, and real to themselves.

The visual identity system and logo are all based on a vibrant golden yellow. This color, “realme Yellow”, represents power, style, modernity, and youthfulness. The colour also has positive connotations in both Eastern and Western cultures, invoking optimism, friendliness and emotional energy, wisdom, harmony, prosperity.

The main auxiliary color, gray, represents professionalism, calmness, and inclusiveness. Gray, along with the with other auxiliary colors including classic black and white, and a light gray tone, complete realme’s overall brand.

realme never stops leapfrogging in its product design by recruiting top designers such as well-known Japanese industrial designer, Naoto Fukasawa, Hermes cooperated designer, José Lévy, and South Korean pop artist, Grafflex.

Each of these creative leaders have joined the realme Design Studio to co-create trendy tech products for the brand. The realme X2 Pro Master Edition created by international industrial designer, Naoto Fukasawa, adopted “realme gray”, resonating with the Pantone color of the year 2021 “Ultimate Gray”.
