Following the launch of the Red Magic Magic 6 series smartphones back in March this year, Nubia is now back to the spotlight with the brand new Red Magic 6s Pro gaming smartphone that brings along some decent upgrades over it’s predecessor.
Starting with the frontside of the phone, the new Red Magic 6s Pro features a sizeable 6.8” AMOLED display which offers a sharp FHD+ screen resolution, as well as a buttery-smooth 165Hz refresh rate and ultra-responsive 720Hz touch sampling rate.
Just like the Red Magic 6 series smartphones, the Red Magic 6s Pro retains the ”Pro Shoulder Triggers” along the right edge of the phone that allow users to further customize and map their gaming controls, leading to a more immersive and enjoyable gameplay.
Under the hood, the Red Magic 6s Pro is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ mobile platform just like the recently announced ROG Phone 5s Pro. In the memory department, it features up to 16GB worth of blazing-fast LPDDR5 RAM which will be accompanied by 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Likewise, to deliver a smooth and consistence gaming experience, the Red Magic 6s Pro also features an improved ”ICE 7.0” cooling system to keep the phone’s temperature down during an extended gaming session.
Photography on the Red Magic 6s Pro is handled by a triple-camera system on the back of the of the phone which is lead by a 64 megapixels main camera, as well as a pair of auxiliary cameras that include an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens and 2 megapixels macro camera. This will be rounded out by an 8 megapixels selfie camera upfront.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone draws power from a respectable 4,500mAh battery which carries support for a super-fast 120W wired charging which is capable of delivering a full charge in just 17 minutes.
For those who’re interested, the Red Magic 6 Pro carries a starting price of 3,999 Yuan (US$620) for it’s 8GB+128GB base model, and goes up to 4,899 Yuan (US$759) for the top-of-the-life Deuterium Transparent Edition model with 12GB+256GB memory configuration.
