Red Magic 7 series launch date has been now confirmed. Its launch event will be held at 3 PM (local time) on Feb. 17 in China. The series is likely to include three models Red Magic 7, Red Magic 7 Pro, and Red Magic 7R. These models are expected to replace the Red Magic 6, 6 Pro, and 6R from last year.
The Red Magic 7 has been already spotted at the TENAA certification platform with all its specifications. The device is equipped with a 6.8-inch OLED display that delivers a Full HD+ resolution and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset is present under the hood of the Red Magic 7.
The device is likely to come equipped with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of built-in storage. It may come with Android 12 OS with Red Magic UI onboard. For photography, it will feature a rear-facing 64-megapixel triple camera unit.
The Red Magic 7 is likely to house a battery of around 4,500mAh capacity. It is likely to debut as the world’s first phone to arrive with support for 165W fast charging. The model number of the Red Magic 7 is NX679J. Another Red Magic phone with model number NX709J was spotted at the 3C certification platform last month. Since it was spotted with a 165W charger, it is speculated that it could be the Red Magic 7R.
There is no word on the specs of the Red Magic 7R. Hence, it is unclear whether this device will be launching alongside the Red Magic 7 and 7 Pro on Feb. 17.
