Nubia’s gaming-focused sub-brand Red Magic recently confirmed that it will hold a launch event on Sept. 5 in China to unveil the next-generation gaming tablets. The official teaser below indicates that the brand will unveil two tablets on the specified date. While one is a successor to the brand’s original tablet that was announced last year, the second model will be a flagship device powered by the most powerful Snapdragon chipset.
According to reports, Red Magic will announce a 10.9-inch and a 12.4-inch tablet. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets, respectively, are likely to power these devices. As it is known, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is the most powerful chip from Qualcomm, and its Leading Version is even more powerful as it is an overclocked version.
Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station released a Weibo post today revealing the specifications of the Red Magic gaming tab, expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version chip. The tipster revealed that the Red Magic gaming tablet featuring a 10.9-inch LCD panel will offer a 2.8K resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels and a 144Hz refresh rate.
For photography, the device will have a 20-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel rear camera. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version and a 10,100mAh battery and 120W fast charging. The tablet will have a built-in cooling fan, 3D internal circulation air duct, and 3D heat pipe, all within an integrated metal body.
The tipster did not share any information about the price of the Red Magic gaming tablet. It appears that the brand is also working on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered Red Magic 10 series of smartphones. It is likely to launch in China before the end of this year.
