Redmi 10 2022 launched with MediaTek Helio G88, 50MP quad-cameras & 18W fast-charging

After launching the Redmi 10 (Review) smartphone back in August last year, Xiaomi is now back with another model known as the Redmi 10 2022 in the global market. However, before we actually get too excited, it’s worth noting that the Redmi 10 2022 shares completely identical specs as the former despite being branded as a 2022’s edition.

Right off the bat, the Redmi 10 2022 features a 6.5” LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels selfie camera housed within it’s central hole-punch cutout compartment.

For photography, the Redmi 10 2022 comes with a rectangular camera island which brings along a quad-camera system. These cameras include a 50 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro shooter, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.

Under the hood, the Redmi 10 2022 is powered by the latest MediaTek Helio G88 chipset which will be paired with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department. It’s internal storage as usual, can be further expanded via a microSD card.

To keep it’s lights on, the Redmi 10 2022 draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 18W fast-wired charging and 9W reverse charging. On the software-side, the phone will be shipped with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box.

Those who’re interested can pick the phone from a trio of colors such as Carbon Gray, Pebble White, and Sea Blue. Sad to say, the company has yet to announce the official pricing and availability of the Redmi 10 2022.
