Redmi 10X 5G global variant may be fueled by Dimensity 800 SoC

Last month, Xiaomi announced the Redmi 10X 5G and 10X Pro 5G duo in the Chinese market. These devices are the pioneer batch of smartphones which were driven by the new 5G-ready MediaTek 820 SoC.

However, it seems like the global variant of the Redmi 10X 5G may see a change to its underlying chip. According to the device’s Google Play Console listing, the Redmi 10X 5G (Global) has been listed with a slightly toned-down Dimensity 800 SoC instead of the Dimensity 820 SoC found in the Chinese variant. The Redmi 10X Pro 5G (Global) on the other hand, will continue to run on the Dimensity 820 SoC.

Other than the difference in SoC, the rest of the Redmi 10X 5G (Global) specs are expected to remain unchanged. The device will feature a 6.57-inches FHD+ AMOLED display which comes with HDR10+ support and up to 800 nits peak brightness.

In the imaging department, the Redmi 10X 5G has a triple-cameras setup at the back consisting of a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. This will be accompanied by a 16 megapixels selfie camera at the front.

The Redmi 10X 5G also has up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage capacity in its memory compartment. To keep its lights on, there will be an ample 4,520mAh battery which comes with support for 22.5W fast-charging.

In the Chinese market, the Redmi 10X 5G is priced at 1,599 Yuan (US$224), 1,799 Yuan (US$252), 2,099 Yuan (US$294) and 2,399 Yuan (US$336) respectively for its 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB models.
