The launch date of the Xiaomi Redmi 8 is currently under the wraps. However, the recent appearance of Redmi 8 on TENAA and China Telecom’s website has revealed all its specifications. A Google Play Console listing of the phone has also been spotted. The appearance on Redmi on the console site is a good indication that its launch is quite near.
The Redmi 8 Google Play Console listing reveals that its display offers 320ppi pixel density and an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. It is a second proof after the China Telecom listing that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 439 mobile platform. The SoC is coupled with 3 GB of RAM and the handset is loaded with Android 9 Pie OS. No other information on the specs are mentioned on the console site.
Previous reports have revealed that it will be featuring a Sony IMX363 12-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera system and it will have a front camera of 8-megapixel. The handset has a 5,000mAh battery that will probably carry support for 18W fast charging through USB-C. It is expected to release in 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage and 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage editions. Phantom Red, Fairy Green, Carbon Ash and Sapphire Blue are its rumored color editions.
