Yesterday, the Redmi 8 has made a surprise appearance on Google Play Console listing ahead of it’s official unveiling. Normally, unannounced devices which pop up on the listing will usually be made launched shortly after that.
Indeed, that’s the case for Redmi 8 as well. According to Xiaomi, the company’s latest entry-level Redmi 8 will be officially announced on October 9th this month. Essentially, this device will be a slightly bumped up version of the recently unveiled Redmi 8A.
From what we’d learned so far, the Redmi 8 is believed to come with a 6.21-inch display with 720 x 1520 pixels screen resolution. The device is said to have an overall 320ppi pixel density for it’s front display as well.
Under the hood, it will be driven by a Snapdragon 439 SoC alongside up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage. Camera-wise, it’s dual-camera setup on it’s back panel consists of a 12 megapixels main snapper and a 2 megapixels depth sensor. It’s waterdrop notch on the front panel houses an 8 megapixels selfie camera.
The Redmi 8 will come loaded with the Android Pie OS and offers a mammoth 5,000mAh battery.
