As scheduled, Redmi has officially announced a new budget-centric smartphone known as the Redmi 9 Power in India today. Despite a fresh moniker, this device is essentially a rebadged model of the Redmi Note 9 4G which was recently unveiled in the Chinese market.
Starting with the front, the Redmi 9 Power features a 6.53-inches FHD+ LCD display that comes with a typical dewdrop-notch that houses houses an 8 megapixels selfie camera.
Helmed by an octa-core Snapdragon 662 chipset, the Redmi 9 Power also offers up to 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in its memory department. As usual, its storage capacity can be further expanded via a microSD card.
For photography, the Redmi 9 Power relies on a quad camera system consisting of a 48 megapixels primary shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
To keep its lights on, there’s a massive 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Other than that, it also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers.
For those who’re interested, the Redmi 9 Power is available in four different colorways including Blazing Blue, Electric Green, Fiery Red, and Might Black.
In India, the device is priced at INR10,999 (US$150) and INR11,999 (US$163) respectively for its 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB variants.
