Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing had confirmed in February that the company will be launching a budget-friendly Redmi flagship phone powered by Snapdragon 855 mobile platform. Since then, the rumor mill has been speculating on the specs and features of the phone. Rumors surrounding have claimed that it may debut in the market as Redmi X. However, recently Weibing had revealed on Weibo that the smartphone will be having a better than Redmi X. A leaked shot of the plastic film of the upcoming Redmi SD855 phone has appeared on Weibo. It reveals that the smartphone will be called Redmi K20 Pro.
The plastic firm further reveals that the Redmi K20 Pro that is powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC is fitted with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display. The rear side of the phone features a triple camera setup featuring Sony’s 48-megapixel lens and super wide-angle lens. For shooting selfies, it has a pop-up selfie camera of 20-megapixel which suggests that the phone is equipped with a notch-less display. It is packed with a 4,000mAh battery that supports 27W fast charging like the Xiaomi Mi 9 handset.
Previous reports have stated that the upcoming Redmi flagship phone will be coming with an in-screen fingerprint reader, NFC support and 3.5mm audio jack. There is no information available on the launch date and pricing of the Redmi K20 Pro smartphone. Well, the name sounds quite weird for a flagship phone.
