Redmi began with the K30 series by launching the Redmi K30 4G and Redmi K30 5G in December 2019. The K30 5G debuts as Redmi’s first 5G smartphone. Today, the Chinese firm officially confirmed that the sales of the Redmi K30 series exceeded 3 million units in the home market.
The Redmi K30 series includes Redmi K30 4G, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30 Pro 5G, Redmi K30 Pro 5G Zoom Edition, Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition and Redmi K30i. The 5G devices in the K30 series are priced between 1,499 Yuan and 4,299 Yuan
In December 2019, Redmi unveiled the Redmi K30 4G and 5G models. The sales of the 5G variant was carried at the beginning of this year with an enticing price tag of 1,999 Yuan. The K30 5G is the first phone to feature the Snapdragon 765G and the Sony IMX686 64-megapixel lens. In March, the company confirmed that it sold 1 million units of Redmi K30 series.
The Redmi K30 Pro 5G and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition 5G went official by March end. The first Snapdragon 768G SoC powered Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition phone was made official in May. In June, the company introduced the Redmi K30i 5G as an inferior version of the Redmi K30 5G.
The Redmi K30 series is not done yet. Rumors have it that the Redmi K30 Ultra could be arriving soon as the company’s first Dimensity 1000+ SoC powered phone. It is likely to feature a 120Hz refresh rate display embedded with a fingerprint sensor, a rear-facing primary lens of Sony IMX686 64-megapixel, a pop-up selfie snapper, and a 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
