On Thursday, Redmi will be unleashing the Redmi K40 series of smartphones in China. Reports have revealed that the company will be announcing two handsets namely, the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro through the upcoming launch event. The TENAA images of both phones have revealed that they will be sporting identical front and rear designs. Today, the company released the first poster of the Redmi K40 series to reveal its rear design. Another poster has revealed the battery capacity of K40 phones.
Chinese celebrity Wang Yibo will be endorsing the Redmi K40 series in China. The poster shows that the back panel of the device has a rectangle-shaped camera housing that includes a small lens and an unknown sensor placed between two large-sized camera sensors. An LED flash unit can be seen on its right side.
It is not clear whether the device features a leather back or a glass rear with a wavy pattern on it. Both phones may differ in the rear camera department.
The K40 and K40 Pro phones are expected to feature 6.67-inch displays with top-centered selfie camera cutouts. Redmi has confirmed that the upcoming K40 models have Samsung E4 AMOLED screens that support a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Snapdragon 888 mobile platform will be fueling the Redmi K40 Pro. It is not clear which SoC will be driving the vanilla model. There is a possibility that it may feature a new Snapdragon 7-series chipset. Both phones are packed with 4,520mAh batteries and they are likely to support 33W fast charging.
