The Redmi K30 Pro debuted earlier this year as the first Redmi branded flagship phone. The handset was praised for the features that it offered at a budget pricing. However, it only carried support for 60Hz refresh rated support. Fresh information shared by a Chinese tipster reveals that Redmi has resolved all the shortcomings in the upcoming Redmi flagship
The upcoming Redmi flagship is likely to be named as the Redmi K40 Pro. While the K30 Pro was announced in March, it is unclear when Redmi will be unveiling the K40 Pro. According to a Chinese tipster, the handset will offer a high refresh rate support. This indicates that the handset may at least support a 90Hz refresh rate.
The leak also suggests that the Redmi K40 Pro will carry support for faster charging. The Redmi K30 Pro came with support for 30W charging. The Redmi K30S that went official in October came with 33W fast charging. Hence, it is likely that the K40 Pro will deliver a better rapid charging experience.
At present, there is no word on available on the specifications of the device. However, it is likely to be driven by the Snapdragon 875 flagship chipset. The K30 Pro offered a stellar photography experience as it came with a Sony IMX686 64-megapixel quad camera system. Hence, the K40 Pro may also impress in the photography department.
At present, Redmi is gearing up to launch the Redmi Note 9 5G series in China. The company is likely to announce it in the coming week.
