At the end of December 2022, Redmi unveiled the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E smartphones in China. The company is likely to launch a couple more K60-branded phones in the Chinese market this year. One of them will be the Redmi K60 Ultra, which will arrive as a successor to last year’s Redmi K50 Ultra. Today, tipster Digital Chat Station leaked key details about the Redmi K60 Ultra.
To recall, Redmi unveiled the Redmi K50 Ultra in August 2022. According to tipster DCS, the K60 Ultra will be unveiled in the third quarter of this year.
The source also said that the K60 Ultra’s screen, which appears to be an OLED panel, will have a resolution of 1.5K and a high refresh rate. It is likely that it will support a 144Hz refresh rate like its predecessor.
The K60 Ultra will come equipped with the Dimensity 9200 chipset by MediaTek. In comparison, the K50 Ultra featured Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
The tipster added that the K60 Ultra will feature a metallic frame. While there is no word on its battery capacity, it is expected to support 100W charging, which is a negligible downgrade as the K50 Ultra offered 120W fast charging.
At present, Redmi is reportedly working on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo for the Chinese market. It may debut at the end of this month. The device is expected to arrive with a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz display embedded with a fingerprint scanner, the upcoming Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1 chip, 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, a 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging, MIUI 14-based Android 13 OS and a 50-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit.
