Redmi is reportedly working on the Redmi K70 series of smartphones, such as the Redmi K70e, K70, and K70 Pro. These devices are expected to debut after the Xiaomi 14 series, which may debut by the end of this month in China. A new leak by a Chinese tipster has revealed the battery size and charging capabilities of the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro.
Redmi K70, K70 Pro battery, charging details leaked
The Redmi K70 will feature a 5,500mAh battery and support 90W charging. For those who don’t know, the K70 with model number 2311DRK48C has successfully obtained 3C certification in China, confirming its compatibility with 90W fast charging. Meanwhile, the K70 Pro is set to support 120W fast charging with a battery capacity of around 5120mAh.
To recall, the Redmi K60 housed a 5,500mAh battery and offered 67W fast charging. On the other hand, the K60 Pro packed a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. Both phones also support 30W wireless charging. There are rumours that show that the K70 and K70 Pro may not offer wireless charging.
According to reports, the Redmi K70 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, whereas the K70 Pro will have the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Both phones are expected to run on the latest MIUI 15-based Android 14. It is speculated that both phones will be rebranded as the POCO F6 and the POCO F6 Pro in the global market.
The tipster added that the Redmi K70 series may debut by early December, with the latest possible launch in late November.
