Redmi unveiled the Redmi K70 series of smartphones earlier this month in China. The lineup includes three devices, such as the Redmi K70e, K70, and K70 Pro. Today, the brand carried out the first sale of the K70 series in the country. Soon after making it available for purchase, the company claimed that it sold over 600,000 units within five minutes.
The Redmi K70e, which debuted as the first-ever phone powered by the Dimensity 8300-Ultra has a starting price of 1,999 Yuan ($282) for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant. The other two variants, such as 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage are priced at 2,199 Yuan ($310) and 2,599 Yuan ($366), respectively.
The K70e comes in shades like Black, Glacier Silver, and Pale Green. Speculations are rife that the K70e will debut in the global market as the POCO X6 Pro 5G smartphone.
The Redmi K70 is a sub-flagship phone equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It comes in options like 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage. These variants are priced at 2,499 Yuan ($352), 2,699 Yuan ($381), 2,999 Yuan ($423), and 3,399 Yuan ($465), respectively.
The Redmi K70 Pro is currently the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phone with a starting price of 3,299 Yaun ($465) for the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage edition. It also comes in three more variant, such as 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage, and 24 GB RAM + 1 TB storage. These are priced at 3,599 Yuan ($508), 3,899 Yuan ($550), and 4,399 Yuan ($620). The K70 and K70 Pro come in Black, Glacier Silver, and Bamboo Moon Blue shades, while the K70 also comes in Eggplant Light Purple option. The Pro model is expected to get rebranded as the POCO F6 Pro 5G in the global market.
