Redmi released a Weibo post today to confirm that it reached a major milestone with its flagship K80 series. Redmi K80 series breaks sales records

After launching the Redmi K80 series in November last year, the brand confirmed it sold 660,000 units within 24 hours of the launch. The momentum continued, as sales crossed one million within the first ten days, setting a new benchmark for Redmi’s K-series smartphones. Now, after the brand has confirmed that the Redmi K80 series has hit 3.6 million unit sales within 100 days.
More Redmi K80 series phones incoming
Redmi is now working on expanding the K80 series with two additional devices. One of them is a gaming-focused smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset. The device is currently being tested and is expected to feature an advanced cooling system with a built-in RGB fan for thermal management. A key highlight of this phone is its massive battery, which could exceed 7,000mAh. While its official name remains unknown, it is expected to launch in the third quarter of 2025.
Alongside the gaming phone, Redmi is also said to be working on the K80 Ultra, which is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch OLED LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution. The device will sport a circular camera module similar to the K80 and K80 Pro. Under the hood, it will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset and pack a 7,400mAh or 7,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging. Reports suggest that the K80 Ultra could launch around mid-2025, potentially alongside the Redmi Pad Pro 2 gaming tablet, which may also house the same Dimensity 9400 Plus chip.
