Recent reports have Xiaomi will announce the Xiaomi 16 series equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset by the end of September in China. In October, its sub-brand Redmi is expected to unveil the Redmi K90 series, which may include two devices, such as the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro. In a new leak, tipster Digital Chat Station revealed the key details about the Redmi K90 lineup.

The tipster has revealed exclusive information about the upcoming Redmi K90 series, highlighting a major upgrade across the entire lineup. According to the leak, all models in the series will feature a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, offering enhanced zoom capabilities.
In terms of display, the K90 series is set to use a custom new-generation curved screen with a new base material and large R-angle design, aimed at improving both aesthetics and durability. Audio performance will also see a boost, as every model will come equipped with symmetrical dual speakers.
The K90 series will feature a metal mid-frame for added structural strength, and for biometrics, It will have 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensors and large 7,000mAh+ batteries, paired with 100W fast charging support across the lineup. Additionally, the tipster confirms that the entire Redmi K90 series will be IP68-rated for dust and water resistance, suggesting a strong focus on durability and high-end features.
Previous leaks have suggested that the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro will be powered by the SM8845 and SM8850 chipsets. The latter is believed to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, whereas the former is said to be a new Snapdragon 8-series chip that will bridge the gap between existing chipsets such as the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and 8 Elite.
