Most of the POCO smartphones currently available on the market are rebranded versions of existing Redmi smartphones. New information reveals that a Redmi Note series phone from last year will be re-released with the POCO branding.
According to tipster Kacper Skrzypek, the Redmi Note 10S from 2021 will arrive as a POCO moniker in the global market with some differences. Unfortunately, there is no word on the final moniker of the device. Judging from the specs of the Note 10S, it can be said that its rebadged version may debut as POCO’s M-series phone.
The Redmi Note 10S carried the M2101K7BNY model number, whereas its POCO variant will have 2207117BPG. The Redmi model came with MIUI 12 and variants like 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage.
Its POCO variant will come in configurations like 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage, 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The device will come preloaded with MIUI 13. It will come in an additional blue color. It may borrow the rest of the specifications of the Redmi Note 10S.
The Redmi Note 10S has a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 13-megapixel front camera, and a 64-megapixel (main) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (depth) + 2-megapixel (macro) quad-camera system. It is powered by the Helio G96 chipset, LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The device offers other features such as dual stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. According to a previous report by Xiaomiui, the device may launch by mid-August.
